FAQs
Do you need Internet for EFTPOS?
Yes, you need internet for EFTPOS. Internet connectivity allows the EFTPOS machine to process transactions.
There is one exception to this. Some EFTPOS machines are able to store transactions offline during outages and then process these transactions when the terminal reconnects to the internet.
Does EFTPOS need a phone line?
Nope! EFTPOS requires internet connectivity via a Wi-Fi, ethernet or 4G/5G but doesn’t require a phone line.
How long does it take to receive funds?
Most good EFTPOS companies should be able to provide you either same day, next day or next business day settlement into your bank account.
