Backing the Heart of Australian Business

T&Cs:

1. ELIGIBILITY

   1.1 To be eligible to apply for and receive the Shift4 $5K Business Boost (the "Boost"), the applicant must:
   (a) Be a registered Australian business entity holding a valid Australian Business Number (ABN); and
   (b) Be an active, fully onboarded merchant utilising Shift4 payment processing services ("Shift4 Merchant") at the time of application, selection, and distribution.
   1.2 The Applicant’s Shift4 merchant account must be in good standing, with no material breaches of their standard Shift4 Merchant Agreement, outstanding debts, or excessive chargeback rates.
   1.3 Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, and associated agencies are ineligible to apply.
   1.4 Applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM AEST on Friday, 31 July 2026. Any applications received after this closing date and time will be deemed invalid and will not be considered for the Business Boost. Following the closing date, Shift4 will select one (1) successful winner and will contact them directly via email and/or phone within fourteen (14) days of the draw.

2. FINANCIAL & TAXATION PROVISIONS
   

   2.1 The total value of each Boost is AUD $5,000.
   2.2 All Business Boost funds are explicitly stated inclusive of GST (if applicable).
   2.3 Receipt of funds may have implications for the recipient's assessable business income and tax liabilities. Recipients are solely responsible for seeking independent financial and taxation advice regarding the receipt of these funds. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications arising from the payment.

3. RETENTION OF FUNDS & ACCOUNT RECOVERY
   

   3.1 The Boost is intended to support the ongoing operational growth of local merchants utilising the Shift4 ecosystem.
   3.2 By accepting the Boost, the recipient agrees to maintain an active Shift4 Merchant Account in good standing for a minimum period of twelve (12) months following the date of fund distribution.
   3.3 If the recipient terminates their Shift4 Merchant Agreement, or if the account is terminated by Shift4 for cause or inactivity within this 12-month period, Shift4 reserves the right to recover the full AUD $5,000 Business Boost amount as a debt immediately due and payable to the Promoter.

4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND PUBLICITY
   

   5.1 By accepting the Business Boost, the recipient grants the Promoter a royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use the business’s name, logo, submitted testimonial, and story in marketing collateral, case studies, press releases, and social media media channels.
   5.2 Recipients may be required to participate in reasonable promotional activities (such as photography or a brief interview) to showcase the impact of the Business Boost on the local Australian experience economy.
   5.3 Any personal data collected during this application process will be handled strictly in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & JURISDICTION
   

   6.1 To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter (Shift4) is not liable for any loss, damage, or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with this Business Boost program or the use of the funds.
   6.2 The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the program at any time without prior notice due to unforeseen administrative or technical complications.
   6.3 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
